Augusta Chronicle, Tuesday, February 19, 1946
Jake L. Landrum, 93, Glascock Co. native, and farmer, died at his home near 
Gibson 2/17/1946. 
Funeral: 2/19/1946 graveside, Swint cemetery. Rev. J. W. Brantley officiating. 
Pallbearers: 10 pallbearers alternated carrying the casket from the Landrum 
home to the cemetery - George S. Landrum, Cleon Landrum, Orlis Landrum, Bennie 
Landrum, Arlo Smith, Roy Smith, Luckey Smith, Earl Irby, Marion Irby and Emory 
Irby. 
Survivors: 
Wife; Mrs. Otis Johnson Landrum
Daughters; Mrs. S. O. Smith and Mrs. J. F. Tompkins 
Sons; James L. Landrum and Cecil Landrum, Other Landrum and Jake Landrum, Jr.
42 grandchildren, 117 great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; 
unnamed.
