The Georgia Enterprise, November 2, 1883
     Rev. J. A. SHIVERS, former editor of the Warrenton Clipper, died at 11 
o’clock a. m. on the 20th ult. At 1 o’clock p. m. of the same day his devoted 
wife was called to join him in the spirit land. Both died of consumption, she 
having contracted the disease while sleeping with him. Our tenderest sympathies 
go out to the four little children who are thus left alone to battle with a 
selfish often cruel world. The press of Georgia has lost a noble member in the 
death of Col. Shivers.

The Georgia Enterprise was a Newton County Georgia Newspaper published from 
about 1865 to about 1905.
