In the name of God Amen. Know all whom it may concern that I Isaac Hart, Senior, of the State and County aforesaid, being weak and infirm of body but of sound mind and disposing memory and knowing that it is appointed to all men once to die and after that Judgment; do make this my last will and testament, as follows to wit, and first I give my Soul to God that gave it me, and my body to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial not doubting but that I shall receive the Same reunited at the great and dreadful day of Judgment and as touching such worldly Estate as it has pleased God to bless my with in the life, I want the Same disposed of in the following manner to wit. 1st, It is my desire that each of my daughters, namely Sarah (Hart) Adkins, Phebe (Hart) Peebles, Mary (Hart) Hobbs, Milbry (Hart) Hobbs and Elisabeth (Hart) Terry and their heirs, the sum of one hundred dollars each, to be paid to them by my Executors, hereafter to be named said money to be paid out of my Estate. 2nd, It is my desire that each of my daughters, to wit namely Sarah (Hart) Adkins, Phebe (Hart) Peebles, Mary (Hart) Hobbs, Milbry (Hart) Hobbs and Elisabeth (Hart) Terry (and their heirs) keep and have the negro girls and their increase that I have already given them, upon them that is my daughters marriage, and which they now have in their possession. 3rd, I give and bequeath to my son Samuel Hart and his heirs one half of a tract of land containing together two hundred and fifty acres more or less, said land was purchased by me at public Sale of the Estate of Solomon Newson, dec. the dividing line to be run from North to South parallel with the original lines of Sd. Tract and Samuel Hart to have the west end which joins his land where he now lives. 4th, I give and bequeath to my son Barnabas Hart and his heirs Seven hundred dollars, Six hundred of which is paid, the remaining hundred to be paid to him by my executors. 5th, I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Hart and his heirs Seven hundred dollars all of which is already paid. 6th, I give and bequeath to my son William Hart and his heirs on tract of land (lying on the North side of the above mentioned two hundred and fifty acre tract) containing two hundred and seventy six acres more or less, also one hundred dollars to be paid to him out of my estate by my executors. 7th, I give and bequeath to my son Vincent Hart and his heirs Seven hundred dollars to be paid to him by my Executors out of my Estate, also one bed and furniture and two cows and calves. 8th, I give and bequeath to my son Solomon Hart and his heirs One hundred dollars in addition to what I have already given him, said hundred dollars to be paid to him out of my Estate by my Executors. 9th, It is my desire that all of my property both real and personal not mentioned in this will be by my Executors equally divided among all my children and their heirs to wit, Sarah Adkins, Phebe Peebles, Mary Hobbs, Milbry Hobbs, Elisabeth Tarry, Samuel Hart, Barnabas Hart, Isaac Hart, William Hart, Vincent and Solomon Hart. 10th, I do hereby constitute and appoint Aaron Adkins my Son-in-law and my son Isaac Hart my Executors of this my last will and testament to execute the same at their discretion attending to the tenor and language thereof and I do hereby revoke all other wills heretofore made by me, as witness my hand and seal, this 27th day of January 1838.
