First. I desire that my body be buried in a becoming Proper manner suitable to my circumstances and My soul commit to Him who gave it. Second. Whereas I desire that all my depts. Be paid punctually and promptly. I direct that they be paid as soon after my decease by my executors and Executrix hereinafter named according to their judgment and discretion. Third. As I have given at different times to my daughter Nancy RAINWATER wife of Solomon RAINWATER what I consider to be an equal portion of my estate and whereas I have the same affection for her that I have for my younger children now living with me by my Desire that all share and share alike. I hereby direct my executors & executrix to pay to said Solomon RAINWATER in trust for his wife Nancy the sum of five dollars. Fourth. I desire and direct that all my estate both real and personal consisting of about seven hundred and eighty five acres more or less in said county – And about thirteen negroes with the future increase of the same, be kept together during the life or widowhood Of my wife Milly – And at the happening of either event, my said property is to be equally divided amongst my five children now in life namely James S., Drucilla Ann Lucretia, Joseph C, Sarah Ann, and Emily Gabriella, and in the event of the marriage of the said Milly my desire is that in the division she shall have a childs portion of all the property to dispose of as she may think proper Fifth. I direct that my said children named in the fourth item be supported and receive the advantages of a good education out of the proceeds of the farm and that no expense incurred by them for the same to be charged to them in the division Sixth. I designate, constitute and appoint my friend Jasper McCREARY Executor and my beloved wife Milly Executrix of this my last will and Testament In testimony whereof I the said John LINN have to this, my last will & Testament contained in this sheet of paper subscribed my name and affixed my seal in this the twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one John LINN (Sealed) Signed, sealed published and declared by the said John LINN as and for his last will & Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto George W.
