Last Will and Testament of John Moutray [Moultrie] 

In the Name of God Amen I John Moutray of the County of Warren and the State of 
Georgia being weak in body but of sound mind and memory knowing the uncertainty 
of this life. First I recommend my soul to God that gave it and my body to the 
earth in hopes of the Great Resurrection doth hereby constitute to my last will 
and testament in the following manner. I give and bequeath to my beloved 
daughter Cassandra Moutray the horse I have now in possession with a hunting 
saddle and bridle or another horse to the same value an also one likely cow and 
calf, one pewter dish, three pewter plates, one Dutch Owen, one feather bed and 
furniture. The remainder of my Estate is to be equally divided amongst all the 
rest of my children. Viz. Nancy Roden, John Moutray, Sally Wells, Lewis 
Moutray, Joel Moutray, Mary Peavy and Leah Carter. After my funeral expense are 
paid. I also constitute and appoint Cassandra Moutray my beloved daughter sole 
executor of all other wills and testaments hereby revoking and disallowing 
appointed or appointed ratifying and confirming this and no other as my last 
will and testament.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set in my hand and seal this twenty sixth day 
of November ano domini one thousand and seven hundred and ninety five

[Additional information John Moutray is said to have died on Sep 1, 1817 in 
Putnam County GA
