Wood-Thornton Family Cemetery



Wood/Thornton Cemetery is located on Wood Rd. which is
southwest of Tennille. The cemetery is overgrown and needs
to be restored. It appears to have 31 graves of the
following families: Wood, Thornton, Johnson, Ivey, Darby,
Moye and Roughten.

Nancy personally visited this cemetery in 2000. The
condition of the cemetery at that time necessitated
uncovering several of the graves. Most of this  cemetery is
of her ancestors -- so additional information has been added
to identify them.
