Georgia Washington County

I Garrott Brown Clerk of the Superior Court of the County and State aforesaid 
certify that John Simmonds a native of England was this day naturalized a Citizen 
of the United States in terms of the Acts of Congress as appears from the minutes 
and words of said court. In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and affixed the 
seal of said court this 1st October 1824

His family was from Dorsetshire, England
