Aug. 9, 1932 Miss Georgia Brantley Harrison, Ga. In reply to your letter, will say that I know just a few facts about Father, I cant give you the date of his birth but he died 1896. Cant tell the day of the month, he served in the year until the surrender he was in Co. H-49 Georgia regiment he enlisted March 1862 served three years or until the surrender, don't know name of any of his officers haven't any of his old papers his name was Benjamin Thomas Harrison for further information you might see Aunt Mary Chivers there in Harrison, I am most sure she could give some facts about Father as he was in the same Co. that Aunt Mary's husband was.
