Ala. Residence of Widow: 1880 Skipperville, Dale Co., Ala Maiden name of Widow: Elizabeth Day Mariage: July 31, 1838, Skipperville, Ala Death of Soldier: Feb 14, 1865, Skipperville, Ala Remarks:Certificate of discharge on file shows soldier served 2 months, was discharged Feb 19, 1818 from Capt Samuel Robinson's Co.. GA Mil. Two Ctf's of discharge on file in brief. Note: I have a copy of his hand written discharge paper and it states Apr 15, 1813. The widow Elizabeth Brown received a pension of $8.00 per month beginning in 1880 but I don't know when she died. I believe it may be 1885. John joined in Washington Co., GA per my information and I am sure his father was a Jesse Brown but I have no records to support it.
