Collier, employed on the farm of O.K. David, battled with a large coach whip snake this week while engaged in planting watermelons. The snake, about six feet in length, wound its body around Mr. Collier. The farmer called for help and fought the reptile until he was exhausted. When help arrived the snake made a get away. Medical attention was given Mr. Collier and he said that next time he will be prepared.
