Sandersville Progress - June 21, 1951 June 21, 1951
  Pfc. Frank E. Brooks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Brooks of Sandersville, has
completed the course of basic military training prescribed for by the United
States Air Force and is now designated basic airman.
  Pfc. Brooks was graduated from Sandersville High School in 1948. He entered
the Air Force on March 27, 1951 and received his basic training at Lackland
Field, San Antonio, Texas.
  Pfc. Brooks says in a letter to his parents, "I went to town and saw a show
last night. They call Nashville the "Friendly City" and I think it is. Everybody
seems to be mightly nice here."
  Pfc. Brooks is expected to get home on leave within the next six weeks.
