Brantley who resides about 2 1/2 miles below Tennille were taken with potmaine poison as a result of eating canned salmon and drinking sweet milk, and one of the babies died, the other recovering its usual good health. The salmon and milk was given them at breakfast Wednesday of last week at about 11 o'clock, both were taken sick and medical attention given them but the poison had gotten a terrible grip on their system that one died Wednesday night, the other improving. The mother, it is said, did not know the danger in giving canned meats and fish, with milk, and there fore was unaware of the fact that her children would be poisoned. Sweet milk and fish of any kind should never be eaten at the same meal, neither should canned meats of any kind be eaten immediately before or after drinking milk. The twin infants, both boys, were hale and hearty youngsters, never sick, but very little and the death of one makes a sad item. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. M.B. Boykin of Tennille and burial was at Mt. Gilead Church.
