Surveyor Reveals He Is Candidate - Guy N. Smith, Washington County surveyor 
since 1939, announced this week that he is a candidate for re-election to the 
post.
  Mr. Smith was elected surveyor for Washington County without opposition in 
1939 and has held the position since. He succeeded his father, the late Joe S. 
Smith as surveyor.
  During the eight years Mr. Smith has served the county he has had none of his 
work disapproved,
  A native of Washington County, the candidate is the only certified surveyor 
in the county. During World War II he was engaged in war work in Savannah.
