The shooting occurred in the residential section of the textile mill in Tennille. Mr. Mullis is at Rawlings Sanitarium in a critical condition. His doctor reported that he was doing as well as could be expected under the circumstances. Mr. Dye is being held in the Washington County jail pending the outcome of Mr. Mullis' wound, according to Sheriff A. W. Smith. There had been bad feeling between the two men for some time, it was rumored. They both are Tennille residents.
