Ga. One man was killed, several others injured when a combination passenger and freight train of the Wrightsville and Tennille Railroad was derailed after running onto a burning trestle across the Ohoope River, near hear this afternoon. A.T. Lindsey, was killed when pinned beneath a freight after attempting to jump to safety. H.T. Cochran, engineer, stuck to his post and was badly hurt when his engine plunged down a 20 foot embankment after going across the burning trestle. The train was running at such speed that the engine and several freight were able to get across the burning structure, but were derailed and plunged down the steep embankment into the burning woods below. One car went through the trestle. Six of these cars were completely destroyed by the flames.
