Tennille, Ga., February 2-Watson Mobley, 15 years old, was the victim of a serious accident at the cotton yarn mills. The boy was on the mill elevator when on looking over the edge, his head was caught between the surrounding platform and the second story floor, badly mashing his face and breaking his jawbone. One ear was completely torn from his face and his escape from instant death was miraculous. Young Mobley's family was from Millen, several of whom are mill hands well known in Georgia.
