Harold J. Brett Sr. - Harold Jerry Brett Sr., 74, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 
6, 1998, in an Atlanta hospital.
  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Moores Funeral 
Home, with the Revs. Tim Oliver, Franklin Hutcheson and Wendel Thomas 
officiating. Burial will be in Washington Memorial Gardens.
  Mr. Brett was a native of Washington County, but had made his home in Baldwin 
County for several years. He was a farmer, a retired employee of American Coach 
Company and a World War 11 veteran. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
  Survivors include six sons, Jerry Brett, David Brett, Charles Brett, Ted 
Brett, Cody Brett and Micky Brett, all of Milledgeville; a daughter, Debbie 
Scmaltz of Manchester; a brother, Clay Brett of Sandersville; four sisters, 
Helen Lord, Minnie Hutcheson and Bertha Brown, all of Sandersville, and Dora 
Sheppard of Lake Sinclair; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
  Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Harmony Baptist Church, 
447 Deepstep Road, Sandersville 31082.
  The family will be at 121 O'Quinns Pond Road and at Moores Funeral Home from 
7 to 8:30 tonight.
