  Funeral services for Everleen Brooks will be Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at
11 am in New Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Gabby Loyd officiating. Interment
will be in the church cemetery.
  Everleen Brooks, age 81, of Macon, passed away late Sunday, February 8, 2004.
Daughter of the late Hudson Ivey and Katie Mae Horton Brooks, she was a native
of Washington County but had made her home in Macon most of her adult life.
  Preceded in death by her husband, Silas Newman Brooks, Jr. and daughter, Katie
Lene Brooks, she was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in
Washington County.
  Survivors include daughter, Wanda B. Henry, Irwinton; sons, Bobby Brooks,
Gordon, Gene Newman Brooks and Roger Brooks, both of Macon and Steve B. Brooks,
Dry Branch; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great
great grandchild.
  Visitation will be Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm in White Columns Funeral Home.
  Williams White Columns Funeral Home of Gordon is in charge of arrangements.
