Sandersville Progress - March 26, 1936
Silas N. Brooks Buried Saturday - Silas N. Brooks of the Tabernacle 
neighborhood died at his home last Friday night, aged 84 years. He was one of 
Washington county's oldest citizens and was a frequent visitor to Sandersville 
where he was a familiar figure.
  He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son, and a number of other 
relatives. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Reese Griffin and the 
burial took place in the Tabernacle cemetery, the Sandersville Undertaking 
Company in charge of the obsequies.
