Cumming Has assed Away - Mr. Joseph H. Cumming, who lived on his farm two miles north of Warthen, died several days ago, aged about Seventy years. He was a bachelor and had lived alone for a number of years, but when his health began to decline one of his nephews lived with him and looked after his welfare. He was fond of fruits and was the owner of the largest apple orchard in Washington county. During the spring and summer months he sold many wagon loads of apples and scuppernongs at Sandersville and Tennille, and was well known to the citizens of both places. He was always liberal in suppling his friends with large quantities of fruits and it was a pleasure to him to have them call to see him at his home. He is survived by three or four nieces and nephews, children of his brother Eli Cumming, who died several years ago at his home near Bartow.
