Sandersville Progress, March 28, 1974
  Funeral services for W. Fred Doolittle, 75, of Sandersville were held 
Thursday, March 21, at 2pm from the Chapel of Mayo Funeral Home with the Rev. 
Emory Lindsey, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Mr. Doolittle 
died March 19 in Upson County Hospital.
  Mr. Doolittle was born April 13, 1898 in Washington County, the son of the 
late W.T. "Booney" Doolittle and the late Mrs. Alice Snow Doolittle. He was a 
retired farmer and an employee of C.S. Hospital in Milledgeville.
  He is survived by one son, William Doolittle, Thomaston; one daughter, Mrs. 
Winifred D. Champion, Decatur; 5 grandchildren; one brother, W.E. Doolittle, 
Sandersville; 4 sisters, Mrs. A.L. Giles, Mrs. Susie D. Blue, Mrs. James Lacy, 
Miss Ethel Doolittle all of Sandersville, several nieces and nephews.
  Pallbearers were Thomas L. Blue, Isaac Blue, Benny McCoy, Olin Brantley, 
Welton Harris and Arthur Yates.
  Mayo Funeral Home in charge of arrangements with interment in Memorial 
Gardens of Washington County.
