The Rev. Emory Lindsey and the Rev. Billy Warthen officiated. Interment was in Brownwood Cemetery. Mr. Godfrey was born Feb. 3, 1907 at Davisboro and was a son of the late James C. Godfrey and the late Mrs. Annie J. Lyon Godfrey. He attended Davisboro High School and G.M.C. He was a Civil Service employee at Warner Robins and was a member of the Second Baptist Church there. On Oct. 23, 1932 he was married to the former Miss Susibell Tanner, who survives him. Other survivors include four sons, Henry J. Godfrey Jr., of Los Angeles, Calif. Mark Ivey, John Dewey and James Cleon, all of Titusville, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson Lipman, Boston, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae Brock, Warner Robins, Mrs. Loraine Dixon, Waycross; 13 grandchildren and two nephews. Active pallbearers were W.C.
