The Augusta Chronicle
Asa Duggan Lord Claimed by Death - Asa Duggan Lord, 70, died at the residence 
of his son, Oscar Lord, 1456 Cooper street, last night at 6 o'clock following 
an extended illness.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night. Survivors are his 
widow, Mrs. Mary Radney Lord; three sons, Horace Lord, Sandersville, Ga., and 
Oscar and Marvin Lord, both of Augusta; four daughters, Mrs. C.E. Joyner, Mrs. 
G.A. Lord and Misses Mildred and Alma Lord, all of Augusta; 12 grandchildren, 
six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jesse Lord, Dublin, Ga., and several 
nieces and nephews.
Born in Washington county, Ga., Mr. Lord had resided for the past year in 
Augusta after retiring as a farmer. He was a member of the Tabernacle Methodist 
Church.
