Augusta Chronicle - July 11, 1952
  Mrs. Mary Green Whiddon Lord of 1452 Cooper Street, died yesterday at the
residence after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at Elliott Sons
Chapel tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. E.C. Sheridan and the Rev.
Merrill Meadows will officiate. Interment will be in the Brownwood Cemetery in
Sandersville, Ga.
  Mrs. Lord, a native of Washington County, had resided in Augusta 25 years. She
was a member of Curtis Baptist Church and was well known in her community.
  Survivors are her husband, Oscar Lord; son, Thomas M. Kennedy of Fayetteville,
N.C. and one daughter, Mrs. H.B. Brady of Davisboro, Ga.; three grandchildren;
three great grandchildren; brother, C.E. Whiddon of Davisboro, and a number of
nieces and nephews.
