Augusta Chronicle - May 9, 1963
  Oscar Lord, husband of the late Mrs. Mary Widdon Lord, of 1452 Cooper St.,
died at 6:05pm Wednesday at his home after an extended illness.
  Born in Washington County, Ga., Mr. Lord was a retired grocery merchant and a
member of J.O.U.A.M. Woodlawn Council No.29.
  Funeral arrangements will be announced later by R.E. Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
  Survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Louise Bradley of Douglasville, Ga.; a
brother, Horace Lord of Sandersville, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. G.A. Lord, Miss
Mildred Lord, Miss Alma Lord and Mrs. C.E. Joiner, all of Augusta.


May 10,1963 - Funeral services for Oscar Lord, who died Wednesday at his home,
1452 Cooper St., following an extended illness, will be held at 2pm today at
Elliott Sons Chapel.
  The Rev. Marshall Crane will officiate, assisted by the Rev. R.N. Cooley.
Burial will follow at Sandersville, Ga. at 5pm.
  Mr. Lord was a retired grocer. Pallbearers will be Edward Lord, Herman Lord,
Louie Lord, Roy Lord, Pete Garner, James Richardson.
  Honorary pallbearers will be members of Junior Order of Woodlawn Council No.
29, Dr. R.L. Rhodes, Eugene Kerr, Judge L.W. Cooper and L.A. Frierson.
