Augusta Chronicle - Dec. 10, 1959
Marvin Dennis Lord, 54, husband of Mrs. Daisy Dominick Lord of 907 Liberty St., 
died Wednesday at a local infirmary following a three day illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Friday in Elliott Sons Chapel with the 
Rev. Clyde E. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Lord was born in Augusta and lived here throughout his life. He was a 
member of Woodlawn Methodist Church and was with the city of Augusta Trees and 
Parks Dept. for 21 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward D. Lord of North 
Augusta and Herbert H. "Billy" Lord of Decatur, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn 
L. Wooten of Augusta; five grandchildren; two brothers, Horace Lord of 
Sandersville, Ga. and Oscar Lord of Augusta and four sisters, Mrs. C.E. Joiner, 
Mrs. G.A. Lord, Miss Mildred Lord,  and Miss Almar Lord, all of Augusta.
