Sandersville Progress - November 10, 1988
  Louie Homer Lord, 77, of Rt.2 Box 71, died Saturday, Nov. 5 in Baldwin County 
following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 8 at 
3p.m. from the chapel of Mayo-Lord Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Brown 
officiating. Interment was in the Brownwood Cemetery.
  Mr. Lord was born Sept. 17, 1911 in Washington County, the son of Horace D. 
Lord and Donie Brooks Lord.
  He was retired from Champion Paper Co., a retired school bus driver and a 
member of Sisters Baptist Church.
  Survivors include his wife, Marie Morgan Lord of Tennile; one son, Bobby 
Edward Lord of Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Esther Smith and Janice Caron, 
both of Milledgeville; one sister, Bertha Wright of Sandersville; seven 
grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and one stepson, Rocky Morgan of 
Greenville Tennessee.
  Mayo-Lord Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
