LORD BURIED AT SISTERS CHURCH - Horace Duggan Lord, 74, died Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Jordan Mill Road Sandersville. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4p.m. from Sisters Baptist Church with The Rev. Bill Deakins and the Rev. Morris Webb officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Lord was a lifelong resident of Washington County, a member of Tabernacle Methodist Church and a retired farmer. He was born Jan. 2, 1890, a son of the late Asa Duggan Lord and Mrs. Molly Radney Lord. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Donnie Brooks; a daughter, Mrs. Talmadge Wright; three sons, Herman and Louie Lord, both of Sandersville, and Roy Lord of Cordele; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Guyton A. Lord, Mildred Lord, Alma Lord, all of Augusta, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Active pallbearers were Alton Prosser, William Joiner, Steve Brooks, Edward Lord, Amos Coggins and Robert Prosser.
