Lord and bore the sweet spirit of their only daughter, Mary Emma, to its sacred resting place. She was sick about 19 days with the flu and pneumonia, and developed a serious throat trouble, which she was unable to overcome. Only she and God knows how she suffered but no one could bring relief until her Master said, "it is finished," and reached out and plucked her from this earth to his Mansion not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. She bore her suffering with patience and was submissive to God's will, because she had tried to use God's talents He had trusted to her keeping. She joined the church when she was young and lived a Christian life until she was called away. She will ever be missed in the church, Sunday school and elsewhere in the community. She loved the work of Jesus and never failed to try to use every opportunity that was offered her to the upbuilding of God's kingdom. We can't conceive why she was taken so early in life, but we remember God never makes any mistakes and can only submit to His will and try to live Christ like, as she did, so as to be with her again. She was laid away in Tabernacle cemetery Saturday afternoon in the presence of a large circle of friends and relatives, to wait the resurrection day. Rev. Robt. Kerr of Sandersville impressively performed the funeral services. She leaves a father, mother, five brothers and a host of other relatives and friends who will ever love and remember her. May God comfort and sustain them in their sore bereavement. Written by a Friend.
