Died

The many friends of Rev. J.D. Mauldin will be pained to learn of his death 
which sad event occurred at his home at Tennell, Washington County, Ga., on 
Friday the 4th inst.  Mr. Mauldin was about 60 years of age and had been a 
member of the South Georgia Conference for many years.  He was a zealous 
minister and his life was of the truest type of Christianity.  Mr. Mauldin a 
few years ago served as pastor of the Butler circuit and was loved and 
respected by all who knew him.  Many hearts throughout the entire State will be 
sad at the announcement of the death of this Christian gentleman.  He carried a 
policy of $2000 on his life with the Legions of Honor of Butler, which will be 
paid to his family.  His family have the deepest sympathy of many friends here 
in their sad bereavement.
