Sandersville Progress
WELL KNOWN CITIZEN CLAIMED by DEATH - Mr. J.B. Pittman died at his home in this 
city Tuesday night, March 2nd, aged 37 years. For several months past he had 
been in failing health and had to give up business on account of his physical 
condition. He was a man of genial disposition and had many friends who were 
grieved to know that he had passed away. He is survived by his wife and nine 
small children. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Wednesday 
afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev. W.C. Mitchell, after 
which the burial took place in Brownwood cemetery in West Sandersville.
