Sandersville Progress, June 30, 1977
  Mr. Alonzo Bryant Prosser, age 68 of Sandersville died June 23, 1977 at the 
Washington County Memorial Hospital.
  Funeral services were held June 25, 1977 at 11am from Poplar Springs 
Christian Church with the Rev. Tryrome Hutchins officiating.
  Interment was in Poplar Springs Christian Church Cemetery. Mr. Prosser was 
born Sept. 17, 1909 in Washington County, the son of the late "Lige" Prosser 
and Annie Bell McCoy. He attended schools in Washington County and was a 
retired farmer and clay hauling contractor. He was a member of Poplar Springs 
Christian Church.
  Survivors include his wife the former Miss Mae Green; 2 sons, Douglas 
Prosser, Sandersville; W.C. Cook, Dublin; a daughter; Mrs. Johnnie Mae Wood, 
Deepstep; 12 grandchildren; 2 brothers; W.E. Prosser and Dash Prosser, 
Milledgeville; a sister; Mrs. Pete (Cora Belle) McCoy, Sandersville; several 
nieces and nephews.
  Active pallbearers were Sam Prosser Jr., Jerry Prosser, Larry Prosser, David 
Prosser, Pete McCoy, Bobby McCoy, Bobby Griffin, Thomas Sparks.
  Mayo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
