Prosser, Jr., 28, of Route 3, Sandersville were held Saturday, January 18, at 3pm in Sisters Baptist Church. The Rev. Emory Lindsey and the Rev. O.L. McCullough were officiating ministers. Mr. Prosser died January 16 from injuries received in an auto accident. Mr. Prosser was born November 15, 1946, in Washington County, the son of Melvin R. Prosser, Sr., and Mrs. Elizabeth B. Talley. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Washington County Sanitation Department. Survivors are his wife, the former Linda English; one daughter Rebecca Ann Prosser; one step-son, Michael Albert Kitchens; all of Sandersville; father, Melvin Prosser, Sr., Sandersville; mother, Mrs. Elizabeth B. Talley, Roysville; one brother, Roger L. Prosser; two sisters, Miss Gloria J. Prosser, Miss Evie Jean Smith, all of Sandersville; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Burney, Rocksprings; and other relatives. Pallbearers were Larry Prosser, Jerry Prosser, Douglas Prosser, Sam Prosser, Malcolm Prosser and Charles Prosser. Mayo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with interment in Brownwood Cemetery.
