Moriah Church. The Rev. H.W. Brantley and the Rev. Walter Brown of Monticello, conducted the service and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernest Joiner, Clay Peacock, T.P. Lang, Sam Donovan, Leo Roberts and Lennard Smith Sr.. Deacons of the Sandersville Baptist Church and county officials served as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R.T. Brantley of Harrison; and two sons, Raymond S. Smith and Guy N. Smith of Sandersville; two sisters, Mrs. T.W. Forbes of Wadley, and Mrs. Mary B. Hartley of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, A.H. Petty, Galax, Va.; four grandchildren, Mrs. E.B. Folsom, Deepstep and Raymond S. Smith jr., James and Joe Smith of Sandersville. Born in Johnson County, Mrs. Smith was the former Etta Missouri Wood. She has made her home in Washington County for many years. Lang's Chapel was in charge.
