Tanner, was born in Washington County, Georgia, December 4, 1886, and died November 26, 1917, lacking but a few days of being thirty one years of age. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Tanner, the faithful and able superintendent of the Washington County Home for the Poor, and he died as he had always lived at the home of his father and mother. He never married, but preferred to remain with his parents and two unmarried sisters, and to them he was a source of great joy and comfort in the home. He was a very modes young man, always retiring, gentle and kind; always in a good humor and wearing the smile with which he always greeted his friends ad loved ones. He had a great many friends who loved and appreciated him for his gentleness and kindness, his manliness and the purity of his young life, for he did live such a life, and no one has ever failed to appreciate him who knew him. His death was peculiarly sad and a very great sorrow to his aged parents, as well as the many friends. On the gray November day after he died he was tenderly laid to rest by loving hands in the cemetery at Tabernacle Church where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. T.A. Mosely, attended by a large concourse of people. The friends and neighbors of the stricken family will always be remembered for their loving kindness and gracious ministrations during the sickness and death of this noble young man. Milo was a brother of F.B. Tanner, C.W. Tanner, O.W. Tanner and T.E. Tanner and Mrs. I.L. Doolittle and Misses Gussie and Jeanette Tanner.
