Funeral Home in Tennille Saturday morning with the Rev. B.A. Winburn officiating. Mr. Tanner was a native of Washington County and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Linton Tanner of Tennille. He was employed in the office of the W.& T. Railroad here before the offices were moved to Savannah. After that he held a position for 25 years in the Central of Georgia office there. Three years ago he retired following a serious injury suffered in a hotel fire. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are one brother, Dr. Julian Tanner, Ridgeland, S.C.; four sisters, Mrs. M.W. Mosley of Thomson, Mrs. Etta Newlin of Columbus, Mrs. Ina Webster of Goldsboro, N.C., and Mrs. J.G. Boyd of Tennille. Burial was in the family lot at Sisters Church cemetery. The pall bearers were T.N. Smith, Olin Trussell, Lawson Dye, Roy Trussell, Mell Tanner and C.J. Trussell.
