David E. Clark to Mary A. K. Cowart
Georgia Washington County
To any Minister of the Gospel, Judge Justice of the Inferior Court or Justice 
of the Peace:  You are hereby authorized to join David E. Clark and Mary A. K. 
Cowart in the holy state of Matrimony according to the Constitution and Laws 
of this State and for so doing this shall be your sufficient License.
Given under my hand and seal this 14 day of June 1848.  Haywood Brookins, LB
Georgia Washington County  I do certify that David E. Clark and Mary A. K. 
Cowart were duly joined in Matrimony by me this 15th day of June 1848.

Additional Comments:
David E. Clark was born in Georgia October 20, 1822.  He died April 27, 1913 
in Johnson Co., Georgia and is buried at New Home Church Cemetery in Johnson 
Co.

Mary Ann was born in Georgia December 7, 1822 and died August 22, 1898 in 
Johnson Co., Georgia.  She is buried at New Home Baptist Church.

David married Ardelia Elizabeth Smith Kersey in Johnson Co. in October 6, 
1899. Ardelia died November 2, 1920 in Johnson Co. Georgia.
