Sheets (DonaRoze@aol.com) Last Will and Testament of Henry Britt (Washington County, Georgia) Book B, Pg. 231 Signed: October 14, 1870, Proved: March 3, 1873 Georgia } Washington County} In the Name of God Amen. I Henry Britt being of old and very infirm but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me. Item first - It is my Will and desire that my son Henry Soloman Britt move to my place as soon as he can build suitable buildings to live in and live on my place as long as I may live, to take care of me in my old age and that he take care of my business and working the place, try to make a support for me and my three Daughters living with me namely Adaline Sarah, Ann Caroline and Easter Ann Elizabeth and so long as I may live each year after a support is made and provided for his family and mine then he receives one half the surplus made on the place. Item second - It is my Will and desire that all my just debts be paid. Item third - It is my desire that my body be buried in a decent manner at New Bethel Church by the side of my Daughter Angeline. Item fourth - I Will and bequeath to my Son Henry Solomon and my three Daughters Adaline Sarah, Ann Caroline and Easter Ann Elizabeth have all my property both real and personal to share equal in dividing said property and if any of the above mentioned children should die without marrying and having lawful heirs, the survivor to share their part equally. Item fifth - I do hereby appoint my friends Andrew E. Davis, witness to the Written Will of Henry Britt deceased, who on oath states he signed the same as a witness in the presence of deceased and the other witnesses to said Will do so likewise, and the state said deceased was of sound and disposing mind and memory at the time he executed said will.
