Amen I, George Wiggins of said State And County, being of advanced age, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper both as respects myself and family that I should make a disposition of my property, which a kind Providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made. Item 1st. I desire and direct by body be buried in a decent and christianlike manner, suitable to my circumstances in life. My Soul, I trust shall retire, to rest with God who gave it, as I hope for salvation, through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Item 2d. I desire and direct, that all my just debts be paid, without delay, by my executors hereafter named and appointed. Item 3d. I give and bequeath to by beloved daughters, Nancy F. Wiggins and Mary F. Wiggins all my kitchen and household furniture which I may be seized of and possessed of at the time of my death, in order to make them even with what I have heretofore given to my other children. Item 4th. It is my Will and desire that all the property I may have at the time of my death, be equally divided between my beloved children (except what has already been devised) to share and share alike. Mary F. and Nancy A. Wiggins and Susan Shirling, wife of William F. Shirling, Ellafair G. Bell wife of John Bell, Margian Kelley wife of George W. Kelley, Jr., my beloved sons Joel G. Wiggins, Luther D. Wiggins and the heirs of my son Aylesbury F. Wiggins to share and share alike. Item 5th. That there shall be no portion of this Will so construed to deprive any of my children of anything heretofore given to them by me. Item 6th. I hereby constitute my son Luther D. Wiggins and my daughters Nancy A. Wiggins and Mary F. Wiggins, Executors of this my last Will and Testament. This 10th Day of February 1881. George Wiggins Signed, sealed and published by George Wiggins, as his last Will and Testament in the presence of the undersigned, who subscribe their names hereto in presence of the said Testator at his special request and instance and in the presence of each other. Tournelle, C.J. Duggan, and E.G. Sullivan, named as witnesses in the foregoing Will, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of George Wiggins, and being duly sworn, say that they at the request of George Wiggins, and in his presence did attest as witnesses the foregoing writing, as his George Wiggins last Will and Testament; that the same was signed and published by the said George Wiggins as his last Will and Testament in their presence, that he was at the time of said attestation and signing by himself, of sound and disposing mind and memory; that he executed said paper voluntarily. Sullivan NOTE: Pournelle (Marcus William Pournelle) per Mary Tanner Parker Chrisanje@aol.com State of Georgia Washington County Codicil No. 1 I, George Wiggins, still being of sufficient soundness of mind and memory, do make and publish this as my Codicil No. 1 to my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath unto my three daughters Ellafair G. Bell, formerly Ellafair G. Wiggins, Amanda N. Wiggins and Mary F. Wiggins, my entire estate both real and personal for and during their natural lives or while they remain unmarried and should either marry or die I desire that the remaining ones, to have the sole charge until their marriage or death. And I further will, that on the death or marriage of my three daughters mentioned above then any property both real and personal, to be equally divided between all my children share and share alike. I further will that the Corpus of my estate be only a life estate or during their single and unmarried state, not giving them the right to sell and dispose of the real estate. I further will that my Grand daughter Mamie M. Bell do receive a support during her life, or until she should marry. Should my daughter, Ellafair G. Bell, marry again, it is my desire that the daughter of her body, Mamie M. Bell, do not receive the benefits mentioned in this my Codicil. I desire that this last named Codicil do not prevent the payment of all my just debts by my executors named in the Will. Signed, sealed and published and declared by George Wiggins as his Codicil to his last Will and Testament in the presence of the undersigned, who subscribed our names hereto, in presence and by request of said Testator and in the presence of each other.
