County, Wayne I Lewis Bryan of the state & county written above Being in the possession & enjoyment of my rationality & reasonable portion of phsical health for which I thank my maker & pray the Continuance of such needful & necessary blessings. Yet knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die and also knowing the uncertainty of life have therefore felt it to be a duty enjoined upon me to (as far as my eternal & (secular) interest are concerned) set my house in order & to be upon the watch tower watching my lords coming. For which purpose I the said Lewis W Bryan have this day renewed the gifts which I did formally make my soul to almighty God, Believing that he who gave it will also receive it back & keep it into eternal life. My poor body I give to my friends to be buried by them in a plain & simple manner with this additional request. That old BrotherWest bury preach my Funeral Sermon as soon thereafter as Convenient. My (secular) effects all & singular that I may be in possession of on my own rights after my just debts are satisfied - I give and bequeath unto my dear wife her natural life to have & to hold to her interest, behalf & benefit and at her death after her just debts are all paid, the remainder if any, to go to Lewis Screven Sallen benefit and disposal forever. For which purpose I have and by this my last will & testament do appoint my dear friend William A Sallen my sole eexeucot for this purpose of carrying into effect this request, with full power instructed in him to Collect all dues & pay out all demands against my estate. - And also to take into demand against my Estate. And also to take into his possession the controll or management of said Estate together with the care or Guardian Ship & comfortable providing for my Dear wife Mary I Bryan. In witness wereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seals, this 6th day of Jan - One thousand eight hundred and fifty one.
