An Old Picture

The Americus Recorder was recently shown a picture of Susan Eberhart, taken the 
morning she was hanged in Webster County, Friday, May 2, 1873.  It is rather 
dim, but shows distinctly that she was a very pretty woman.  While it has been 
a long time ago the circumstances connected with her execution are still fresh 
in the minds of the people.  All of the jurors have since died, the judge is 
dead, the sheriff is dead and only two or three parties are alive who were 
connected with the prosecution and defense.
