                                Thurman Brown, Mechanic
 RICHLAND,Ga. -- Thurman Brown, 66 of Route 2 Preston, died Thursday at Sands 
Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
 The funeral service will be at 3pm today at Preston Baptist Church with burial 
in Preston City Cemetery. The Revs. Dink Rayburn and Byron McEachern will 
officiate.
 A native of Ware County, Mr. Brown resided in Terrell County most of his life 
and was a mechanic. He was a member of Preston Baptist Church.
 Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Brown of Preston; five sons, Ronald, Floyd, 
and Donald Brown, all of Preston, Lamar Brown of Americus, and Jerry Brown of 
LaGrange; three daughters, Dianne Abercromble of Preston, Fay perryman of 
Richland, and Glenda Kilpatrick of Leesburg; a brother, John Gordon Brown of 
Wimauma, Fla.; a sister, Annie Bell Fincher of Moultrie; and 15 grandchildren.
 L. B. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Thurman was born 25 Apr 1927 to John Almon "Indian" Brown and Sarah "Sallie" 
Alice Howell Brown, both buried in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in 
Terrell County, Ga.
