died Friday, August 8, 2008 at home.
Funeral services at 11a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 Macedonia Baptist Church
Rev. Robert Orr will officiate. 
Music by Deena Grimsley. 
Pallbearers: Deacons of the church. 
Interment: Macedonia Baptist Cemetery.
Born March 26, 1930 Webster County, Ga. 
Father: Marvin Britton
Mother: Nettie Lou West Fussell. 
She lived in the area most of her life except for a short time in Texas. 
Member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she taught 
Sunday school for many years and was a church hostess. 
Survivors:
husband of 56 years, Clayton Ollis Spann
two daughters, Pamela Spann Greene and her husband Warren of Ellaville, Ga. and Janet Spann Burks and her 
husband Reggie of Preston
Four grandchildren: Clay Greene and his wife 
Holly and Terri Greene Edwards and her husband Jimmy, all of Ellaville, and 
Matthew Burks and Wendy Burks, both of Preston
Four great-grandchildren: 
Mikayla Edwards, Tucker Greene, Will Edwards and Justin Edwards; and one more 
great-grandchild, Katie Greene, on the way.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts 
may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, 5716 Macedonia Church 
Road, Preston, GA 31824.
Smith Funeral Home of Richland, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
