Foskey, 86, of Riverview Nursing Home in Lumber City, who died Sunday in Jeff Davis Hospital after an extended illness, were held in the Miles Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Young and the Rev. Ronald Leger officiated with burial in Red Bluff Cemetery in Treutlen County. Mr. Foskey was a native of Wheeler County where he lived most of his life except for the past several years while living in Lumber City. He was a retired farmer and a member of Lumber City Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Vesta Harrison of Lumber City, Mrs. Gladys Elerson of Waycross, Mrs. Grace Coleman and Mrs. Jeanette Pope, both of Glenwood; two brothers, Lewis Foskey and Willis Foskey of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Billy Hulett, Edward Brown,Truitt Browning, Brodus Paul, Carl Browning, and Marcus Coleman. Miles Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
