(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net March 15, 2009, 6:50 am The Wheeler County Eagle 9-13-1989 Page 7 Lewis Nathan Foskey Sr. Lewis Nathan Foskey Sr., 89, of Route 2 Glenwood, died in a Dublin hospital Tuesday, September 5, 1989, after a long illness. Mr. Foskey was a native of Montgomery County and was a son of the late Joseph Manning Foskey and the late Mrs. Anna Liza Bryant Foskey. He was a retired farmer and a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he was an inactive deacon. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude Day Foskey; three sons, Lewis N. Foskey Jr. and J. Edward Foskey, both of Glenwood, and Jsoeph Lee Foskey of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Wynn of Glenwood; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services were held in Beulah Baptist Church at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, September 7 with the Rev. C. W. Hawkins and the Rev. Duke Stewart officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Jeff Foskey, Stefan Foskey, Nat Wynn, Fred Wynn, and Holly Wynn grandsons and Robert Foskey, a nephew. The honorary escort included Emmett Gillis, W. D. Avery, Jack Day, Wyman Phillips, and Maurice Jackson. Additional Comments: Lewis was born 12-24-1898. His wife is also buried at Beulah Cemetery.
