                          Alphus M. Keene
 GLENWOOD----Alphus Milledge Keene, 79, died Saturday morning in the Wheeler 
County Hospital in Glenwood after a long illness.
 The native of Laurens County had lived most of his life in Wheeler County. He 
was a farmer and a member of the Glenwood Methodist Church.
 Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Adams Keene of Glenwood; two sons, Bill 
Keene of Glenwood and Bob Keene of Irvine, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. James E. 
White of Alamo; a brother, H. L. Keene of Brunswick; and six grandchildren.
 Harris and Smith Funeral Home of McRae is in charge.

Alphus Milledge was born 10 Jan 1885 to Green Cullen Keen and Mary Tyson Keen.
