Adams Funeral Home - Newpaper Submission - 1977

Mr. Claude H. Jones, of Soperton, formerly of Dublin, died early Sunday morning 
after being in declining health for several months. Mr. Jones, a native of 
Wheeler County, was the son of the late Russel B. Jones and Jane N. Clark 
Jones. He lived most of his life in Florida and Georgia and was a retired 
salesman. Mr. Jones was a member of the First Christian Church of Dublin.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the C. Homer 
Adams Chapel with Rev. Ed Reese and Rev. J.C. Nalls officiating. Interment will 
be in Northview Cemetery. The Jones family request that in lieu of flowers 
contributions to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Jones would be 
appreciated. The Jones family will receive friends at the funeral home from 
7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday evening.
Active pall bearers will include Herbert Holton, Emmett Leverett, Hugh Moore, 
Sr., Everett Ellis, Leland Warren and Rudy Crafton. Honorary escort will 
include Otis Rawls, Marcus Bomar, Johnny Cochran, Jack Donaldson and others.
