                           Lanier Peacock
 Lanier Nolan Peacock, 74 of Allen Loop Road, Rutherfordton, formerly of Polk 
County, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Tipton's Nursing Facility in 
Rutherfordton.
 A native of Glenwood, Ga., he was the son of the late Ernest Lonzo and Laney 
Belitha Ruis Peacock. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church, Forest 
City and a veteran of the Army.
 He is survived by a brother, Nelson Colson Peacock of Columbus, Ga.
 Funeral services will be held 5pm Thursday at Long Branch Road Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Jery Ruppe officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Baptist 
Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton.
 MvFarland Funeral Home in Tryon has charge of arrangements.
