The Rev. Ralph Rhines officiated and burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery with Harris & Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Charlie Walker, Fred Walker, Brice Walker, H.S. Massey, Lonnie Walker, and James Swailes. Honorary Pallbearers were Julian White, D.L. Knowles, Eli Marchman, Clarence Brown and Bill Galloway. Mr. Walker was born in Charleston, SC on April 13, 1883, the son of Brice and Katie Long Walker. He was a member of the Union Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Lila Massey; five sons, Morris Walker, of Savannah; Oliver Walker, of Brunswick; Holland Walker, Melton Walker and Hiram Walker, of Jacksonville, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. E.L. Browning, Mrs. N.H. Clark, Mrs. C.R. Brantley, of Alamo, and Mrs. Joe E. Moon, of Jacksonville, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Jula Gilder, of Alamo and Mrs. Minnie Randolph, of Griffin.
