E.F. Starr Bond Recorded December 6th 1858
State of Georgia White County} Know all men that we E.F. Starr and John L. 
Richardson are bound unto W.T. Leonard ordinary of Said County and his 
Successors in office in the Sum of Twelve thousand dollars for payment of which 
we find our Selves our heirs and assigns Jointly and Severally
Signed Sealed and delivered this 6th day of December 1858
The condition of the above bond is Such that if E.F. Starr Who has this day 
been appointed guardain [sic]of the person & property of Ephraim McClain and 
[sic] imbecile person shall well and truly demean himself as such guardain 
[sic] of Ephraim McClain sr according to law then the above bond to be null and 
void else to remain in full force Signed seald and delivered this the sixth day 
of December 1858

Georgia White County} Letters of Guardianship to E.F Starr on the person and 
property of E McClain Sr.

Whereas application in proper form has been made to have E.F. Starr appointed 
Guardian of the person and property of Ephraim McClain Senr an imbecile person 
residing in said county of old age and the said EF Starr has duly delivered his 
Bond secured according to the order of the Court of Ordinary for the 
guardianship of the person and property of Ephraim McClain and taken the 
required oath of Office this is to show that said EF Starr as such guardian is 
to safely Keep the estate of said Imbecile is entitled to all powers and 
privileges of general Guardian of the person and property of said Ephraim 
McClain to collect and deliver the same when called on according to law that he 
is to render a just and true account of all the estate which he may receive 
that the said EF Starr is to enquire into and receive all the estate of said 
Imbecile which by law he ought to do that he said EF Starr is to manage said 
estate and in all respects discharge the duties of guardian by making proper 
returns of whatever else the laws require of Guardians In witness where of I 
WT. Leonard Ordinary of said county have hereunto set my hand and seal of 
office this 6th day of Decr. 1858
